What We Do
RoSA works in a variety of ways to support survivors and their families, supporters or friends, including:
1:1 Support, group support and telephone support sessions
Talking to someone who understands helps. Nothing can change what has happened, but you can change how you feel now.
Support the partners, friends or relatives of someone who has been raped or abused
Arrange access for people who have a disability
Give face-to-face or telephone support
Explain about police, courts and medical procedures
Support someone who wishes to make a statement to the police
Support someone through a court hearing
Supply information about sexually transmitted infections, including HIV and AIDS, pregnancy testing and prevention, and abortion, if wanted
Accompany people to a doctor or hospital
Advise and help with applications to the Criminal Injuries Compensation Board for financial compensation
